Sorry for the lack of posts. There has been so much to think about lately, I sit at my computer and have no idea what to write. I've managed to fill tens of pages writing (by hand!!!) about the things that have been going on, but over the past couple of days, I've been too tired to even manage that. However, I will endeavour to record some of my thoughts here when I have time. I am thankful for all the people I have talked to/caught up with over the past couple of weeks - you really bring me out of my head and make me remember why I am here.
Meanwhile, I am 20 days into my No Coffee Cold Turkey regimen, NCCT for short and I am craving it badly. On the 4th day, I had headaches and generally felt miserable - but I couldn't pinpoint whether it was because of the lack of coffee/caffeine or the events that had occurred just prior to that day. Probably both. I have discovered that for some reason, tea makes me not able to go to sleep without really improving my immediate alertness. So, conclusion = tea sucks. Therefore, I am going on this "journey" with basically no source of caffeine and my stomach loves me for it. The things I do for you, stomach.

Speaking of general health and well-being, I have also realised my diet is very low in calcium (>1000mg per day) and iron. Therefore, I have forced myself to consume more dairy products, even though they make me want to puke. It makes me sad, really, since I used to love milk, yoghurt and cheese... ok, not really cheese. But now they make me sick (literally). With regards to iron, I really need to up my intake of legumes and spinach. Or, I could eat more red meat. But most days, the thought of red meat makes me want to throw up as well. My stomach/GI controls my life. I used to like red meat, too.
Further, the lower lid of my left eye has been doing aerobics since...well, exams. That's like 3 freaking weeks or more. I don't know what is up with that. But it's really starting to piss me off and I'm thinking about Botoxing myself just so it'll stop jumping. I mean, I can just grab some of that toxin from Pharmacology, right?
