The Right to Breastfeed in Public [link]

What the hell? People actually tell women to stop breastfeeding in public? What is the reasoning behind that? I mean, sure - if it's hailing and the mother/child should probably be inside a warm house to feed, it would be cool for a passer-by to tell them to stop. Or if say a passer-by saw the woman taking some sort of poison that they knew goes into the milk and she is just about to feed her baby... but seriously, for what probable reason should someone NOT have the right to breastfeed a baby in public? Now, breastfeeding say, 7 year olds in public - that's something to stop.

Argh. Censorship? Conservative protests? Argh. Go Ann Pratchett for writing the book, good on her for the book making it to a required reading list. The compaints - for UNIVERSITY students? Pathetic.
