Oh Em Gee

OK, all of a sudden I'm freaking out that I won't get the scholarships I applied for. What if they had too many errors in grammar/typos? Shitzles. Shitzles. Shitzles.

Man I'm so tired I got a cramp at the pool today. Lame. Also, I'm Photon Girl. Like a superhero. Do you realise that could possibly be the best power to have, to travel at the speed of light? I mean I possibly travel through space-time if I find one of those worm-hole things, right? I can't rememebr whether they theoretically exist or whether I'm getting confused with Donnie Darko. I think it was in that movie, but they were saying they were fiction. I can't really remember what Stephen Hawking said, but I am leaning towards no, we can't time travel. But then again, he didn't think there could be a superhero that could travel at the speed of light right? AND negligible mass. Whoop.

Also, I have a presentation next week and there is heaps of shitzle to do, so I probs won't post for a while. I am preparing for more sleepless nights, although that probs means I'll forget more. I def. need sleep before the pres. though otherwise I'd really fumble those q's. Man I'm looking forward to that break. I want to write a song. Well, see if I can do it. The probs with that BEFORE was that I'd forget the melody after a while coz I didn't really have a way of recording it. But now I have my precious lappy. So all is g. Note to self, buy semi-decent microphone from the homeland. Represent. Yo.

Oh, there was a brief conversation today about how Asians rush at counters and push 'n' shove in lines... one should inspect closely to look at the generation (and immigration status) of the people who do that. It's to do with upbringing, yes... but upbringing in times of scarcity where you are literally 'first-in-first-served' to get food or any resources. It's not like your family is crazily uncivilised, it's just there is no money. And it depends on the family, like I think my parents families had rules for fairness, but the younger ones always got hand-me-downs. So that's the origin. My grandparents' and parents' time. Mum and Dad don't do it anymore (coz I get embarrassed/annoyed), but I do notice that Mum does it sometimes when she gets anxious and we all know that people revert to old habits when anxious. Anyway, with regards to perhaps younger generations who do it.... well, it's probably not race/poverty-specific... probs parenting. Who knows. But it's annoying. But I also find it annoying when people act like they're so much better because they don't rush. Lamo aye.
